After I was diagnosed with PCOS and Factor V Leiden - our baby girl beat the odds to be delivered via c-section on February 28, 2008 in Joliet, IL. She was born with an unknown virus at birth that left her little body very weak and her lungs gasping for air. Nearly two days after she was born - and after several desperate attempts to improve her lung function - she was transfered to Children's Memorial Hospital in Chicago - nearly 60 miles from our home.

After seeing our baby on a vent, struggling to breathe and fighting to survive - we just knew that the wonderful doctors, nurses and staff at Children's would take good care of our miracle baby.

Every day she made strides - small to some - but huge in the hearts of her mom and dad...

Dearest Tkitty,
I am so very sorry for your loss. I know how devastating and disappointing that can be. My husband and I had 2 early miscarriages before having our son Gradon who is now 9 years old. He was born full term and healthy.
I definitely understand what u are going through. I lost my baby boy at 23 weeks, due to my blood type being A-, which creates antibodies that caused my body to reject the fetus. I feel that if I had started my prenatal care sooner, this could have been prevented because they could gave given me a shot. I am so sorry for your loss...no mother should have to experience the death of an infant/child. But websites and support groups like these make the loss easier to deal with.

I'm so sorry that you're facing these emotions and feelings. I too have lost a daughter and blamed myself for a long time. Please know that there are many of us who know the pain of losing a child and are here any time you need to talk. Learning how to live with memories of your child takes time.

Tracy
