My daughter's story.

yariana - 07:52pm Aug 26, 2008 EST

Hi everyone:

On behalf of my daughter Yadira Sanchez, I Ana Millan of Puerto Rico like to share her story. Yadira is a 30 year old mother of a 6 years old girl; she also lives in Puerto Rico.

By the end of November 2007, she gave birth a premature baby boy whom few hours after born was sent to NICU due to a congenitive heart problem. On his ninth day born was taken to the operating room but did not make it. This was bery devastated for her.

Today, Yadira is four months pregnant and to our surprise she is having triplets, possibly three girls. Nothing was planned or treatments performed for this to happen, but it did. Everything seems to be going well on her pregnancy, but she is so worry because she does not know how she is going to deal with three newborns, and how she is going to prepare and get all the needed things for them.

Maybe someone can help by letting me know of any organization that may be able to assist her.

Your assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,

Ana Millan
grandmother

First let me say how sorry I am for the loss of your grandson. I'm sure that has been very difficult for both you and your daughter. On the positive...triplets, wow! How very exciting for all of you. I am the mother of boy/girl twins born at 30 weeks. They are now 7yrs old and doing wonderfully. I belong to a local Mothers of Multiples(MOM) organization and the national organization for MOM. My local club helps mothers on bedrest and holds annual sales along with monthly meetings and many get-togethers.
I googled MOM in Puerto Rico and came up with many different sites. http://www.partosmultiples.net/enlaces/enlpaises.htm This is one in Spanish but there were many others in English. There is also a section for multiples in the parent-to-parent section. Tell your daughter I wish her the best of luck and at least 36 weeks of trouble free pregnancy. Let us know how things are going if you can.
Abrazos,
Kathy
