March for Babies and Family Teams

March for Babies (formerly known as WalkAmerica) is not only the largest fundraising event for the March of Dimes, it is the walk that saves babies. In over 1,100 locations nationwide this event is vital to the March of Dimes mission.

Family Teams are essential to the success of March for Babies. In 2006, something incredible started.... in 2007 those numbers grew... We hope 2008 will be the best year yet, with YOUR help. Share your Story participants helped lead the pack of successful family teams by recruiting friends and family members to walk in honor of their mission affected child(ren). Your Family Team is so important to the March of Dimes. You are helping to put a personal face on our mission of preventing premature births, birth defects, and infant loss.

Family Teams across the nation not only help to raise funds for lifesaving work in their communities, but also play a valuable role in helping to raise awareness about premature birth and other threats to infant health.
